Sofia Naveja Avina – Dental Assistant Graduate, Palm Desert

Sofia Naveja Avina chose to enroll in the Dental Assistant program at Milan Institute in Palm Desert to find a clear career path. After feeling unsure about her previous major at College of the Desert, she decided to pursue a hands-on career in the dental field.

Sofia describes her experience in Milan as good and straightforward, noting that success came from her commitment and full effort throughout the program. She stayed focused on completing her training and graduating prepared for the workforce.

Today, Sofia works at Palm Desert Dentist, where she enjoys her role and appreciates the kindness and support of her coworkers. Looking ahead, she plans to further her education and pursue a career as a registered dental hygienist.
