Natalie Aslinger – Cosmetology Graduate, Bakersfield (2012)

Natalie Aslinger chose to pursue cosmetology because she wanted a career that blended creativity, connection, and confidence-building. She was drawn to the beauty industry for its ability to empower people, and Milan Institute provided the foundation she needed to turn that passion into a lifelong profession.

Her time at Milan Institute in Bakersfield was both challenging and rewarding. The structured, hands-on training and the support of dedicated instructors helped Natalie build the skills, resilience, and confidence necessary to launch her career. Despite facing significant obstacles—including a car accident just one month before graduation—Natalie stayed focused on her goals. With encouragement from her instructors, especially the night class team, who helped her make up hours, she was able to graduate on time.

Today, Natalie is the proud owner of SheHasRadHair LLC, a salon business that began as an idea during a Phase 1 classroom exercise at Milan. She has since built a successful career rooted in advanced education, professionalism, and a luxury client experience. Natalie is also an Elite Artist with Invisible Bead Extensions®, a milestone that reflects her dedication to continued growth in her craft.

Looking ahead, Natalie plans to continue expanding her salon, grow her expertise, and one day mentor future stylists—giving back in the same way her instructors supported her.

Her advice to students is simple but powerful: “Stay consistent, stay humble, and stay hungry. Show up ready to learn—your effort now becomes your success later.”
