Maria Saucido – Nail Technician Graduate, Las Vegas

Maria Saucido immigrated to the United States with a dream of pursuing what she’s always been passionate about—nails. Her love for the industry motivated her to enroll in the Nail Technician program at Milan Institute in Las Vegas and earn her license.

Maria describes Milan as a place that truly feels like family. She credits the instructors and staff for their support, inspiration, and understanding throughout her journey. One of her biggest challenges was navigating the program while English was not her first language, but with encouragement from her instructors, she gained confidence, personal growth, and the belief that she could succeed.

Today, Maria works at Milano Nails Salon in Henderson, Las Vegas, where she continues to grow her skills and experience in the industry. One of her favorite memories from school is the overall support she received and the friendships she built along the way.

Looking ahead, Maria plans to continue perfecting her techniques and gaining experience, with the ultimate goal of opening her own salon. Her advice to future students is heartfelt and motivating: “Dream big and never give up. Practice, stay focused, and don’t let anyone discourage you from doing what you love.”
