Lupe Martinez – Administrative Medical Assisting Graduate, Merced

Lupe Martinez returned to school to further her education and begin a career in the medical field. Before enrolling at Milan Institute in Merced, she spent her time babysitting her grandchildren, but knew she wanted to build something more for herself.

Lupe describes her experience at Milan as amazing and credits her instructor, Miss Keaunna, for never giving up on her. When Lupe struggled with her first module, her instructor provided extra support and time, helping her improve her grades and successfully pass. That encouragement made all the difference in her journey.

Today, Lupe works at Getwell Urgent Care in Merced, California, where she truly enjoys her job. She appreciates the teamwork, supportive staff, and positive leadership, and feels proud to be applying the skills she learned at Milan.

Her advice to future students is motivating and heartfelt: “If I can do it at my age, anyone can. Don’t ever give up—stay focused on what you want to accomplish.”
