Kassandra Gutierrez

Kassandra Gutierrez graduated from the Manicurist program at Milan Institute in Bakersfield on February 10, 2024, to create a better future for her family.

“It was a wonderful experience—the instructors helped with every question,” Kassandra shared. “I had never done nails before, and it was hard at first, but by the end, I felt confident in what I was taught.”

Now working at Nails by Julia in Bakersfield, she enjoys learning through live demos and looks forward to one day opening her own shop to help other manicurists grow.

Her advice? “Keep learning—there’s always something new.

Don’t be afraid!”
