Jessica Isabell

Jessica Isabell decided to return to school after being furloughed during COVID, using the time to pursue her long-standing passion for the beauty industry. She was drawn to cosmetology because it allowed her to be creative while helping others feel confident and cared for.

Her experience at Milan Institute in Bakersfield was very positive, and she credits the hands-on training and instructor support with helping her build confidence and prepare for life in the salon. One of her favorite memories from school was the friendships she formed—connections that have lasted well beyond graduation.

Today, Jessica works at Xclusive Salon in downtown Bakersfield, specializing in blonding, balayage, and custom color services. One accomplishment she’s especially proud of is returning from maternity leave with a full clientele. She continues to grow professionally, further her education, and has even been featured on social media by brands like Pravana and Wella.

Looking ahead, Jessica plans to continue growing her clientele, build her social media presence, and eventually open her own salon.
