Amber Gutierrez

Amber Gutierrez – Dental Assisting Graduate, Palm Desert

Amber Gutierrez chose to enroll in the Dental Assisting program at Milan Institute in Palm Desert to build a better future for herself. Coming straight from high school, she was eager to learn and take the first step toward a meaningful career.

Amber describes her experience at Milan as great and says she learned a lot throughout the program. One of her biggest challenges was feeling nervous about assisting during dental procedures, but with practice, she learned to stay calm and confident and successfully overcame that fear.

Although Amber is not currently employed, she chose to make that decision so she could continue her education. Her long-term goal is to become a dental hygienist and keep advancing in the dental field.

Her advice to other students is strong and empowering: “Never let others try to bring you down. People don’t always like it when you’re trying to succeed—but keep going anyway.”
