The Milan Institute of Cosmetology El Paso campus celebrated a milestone moment on October 4 as 145 graduates walked the stage at the McKelligon Canyon Amphitheatre, surrounded by the breathtaking desert landscape and proud supporters. Over 300 guests, including family members, friends, faculty, and community partners, gathered to honor the Class of 2025 and their journey toward professional success in the beauty and wellness industry.
The outdoor setting, framed by El Paso’s signature mountain views, provided a stunning backdrop for an afternoon filled with inspiration, accomplishment, and community pride. Graduates from all programs at Milan Institute El Paso, including Cosmetology, Barbering, Esthetics, and Manicuring, were recognized for their hard work, growth, and perseverance.
Campus Pride in El Paso
Campus Director Sandra Carrillo expressed her pride in the graduating class and gratitude for the teamwork that made the event possible. “Our graduation ceremony on Saturday was a wonderful success,” she said. “Our graduates celebrated a major milestone surrounded by family, friends, and staff. Your hard work made the event both memorable and seamless. Watching this class grow into confident professionals has been one of the greatest rewards of my time at Milan. Your teamwork made all the difference.”
The ceremony featured special presentations that highlighted both patriotism and community connection. The Chapin High School Color Guard opened the event, adding a sense of honor and tradition. Keynote speaker Bernice Hernandez of Chava’s Barbershop shared words of encouragement and insight about building a career in the beauty industry, inspiring graduates to continue striving for excellence.

Education Leader Cortney Bruns also reflected on the graduates’ growth and passion. “We are so proud to celebrate our newest group of beauty professionals, the Graduating Class of 2025,” Bruns said. “Their dedication, creativity, and passion for helping others shine are exactly what make this field so special. As we watch them take their next steps, they carry the Milan legacy and create one of their own.”
