Denise Urias – Dental Assistant Graduate, Amarillo
Denise Urias decided to return to school to pursue a focused career path that aligned with her long-term goals. She enrolled in the Dental Assistant program at Milan Institute in Amarillo knowing it would help prepare her for a future in the dental field.
Denise describes her experience as fast-paced but fun. Adjusting to the intensity of the program was her biggest challenge, as she naturally prefers a slower, steady pace. By changing her schedule and study approach, she was able to keep up and succeed. One of her favorite parts of the journey was the friendships she built and watching her classmates reach the finish line together.
Today, Denise works at Borger Smiles in Borger, where she plans to continue learning, gaining experience, and growing with the company.
Her advice to future students is encouraging and grounded: “Keep studying, don’t get discouraged, and try shadowing at an office when you can. Put God first, don’t give up, and everything else will fall into place.”
