The Milan Institute Las Vegas campus marked 40 years of career training success with an energetic Open House celebration on Thursday, October 30. The event ran from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and drew more than 100 guests, including family, friends, and supporters of current students.
The Open House celebration comes on the heels of being voted Las Vegas’ top Beauty Salon by Fox 5 viewers. Campus Director Melissa Martinez captured the spirit of the day perfectly.
“We had a phenomenal turnout with over 100 attendees filling our campus with energy and excitement. The pizza was a hit, and the vibe was amazing,” Martinez said. “I want to extend a huge thank you to my entire team for making the day run so smoothly. Every detail came together beautifully because of your effort and teamwork.”
The atmosphere on campus buzzed with energy and excitement. Students filled classrooms with live demonstrations, giving visitors a front-row seat to their growing talents in cosmetology, esthetics, massage therapy, and other programs. Across the student salon floor, laughter and conversation flowed as guests explored, observed, and interacted with students showcasing their skills. Snacks and refreshments kept the mood upbeat, and every corner of the campus reflected the sense of community that defines Milan Institute Las Vegas.
Celebrating Community in Las Vegas
Admissions representative Tami Vargas said, “It really was so much fun. The campus energy felt amazing, and everyone pulled together beautifully!”
That enthusiasm carried through the entire day, from hands-on demos to welcoming conversations between staff, students, and visitors. Admissions representative Tayzia Mosley added, “Everyone was so hands-on and welcoming, and guests who had never visited before left in awe of how family-oriented, positive, and accepting our space felt. It truly showcased who we are as a campus and as a team. So proud to be part of this group… Milan Vegas really does continue to shine!”
Education Leader Sheena Moore also reflected on the event’s impact.
“One student’s mother said it felt like we’ve built such a strong sense of connection and belonging here,” Moore said. “I couldn’t agree more. Seeing those efforts reflected in how people experience our campus is the greatest reward. Our staff and students keep growing stronger with every event, and I couldn’t be prouder.”
