The Milan Institute of Cosmetology’s El Paso campus brought the community together on Thursday, October 30 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., for a Halloween-themed Open House filled with fun, creativity, and local pride. Held at the campus on George Dieter Drive, the celebration marked Milan’s 40th Anniversary and welcomed more than 20 guests from the El Paso area.
Campus Director Sandra Carrillo said she couldn’t have been happier with how the day turned out, sharing that the event was one of their most successful yet. She noted that over 20 visitors attended, ten prospective students were interviewed, and three enrollments are already pending as a direct result. “It was a great success,” she said. “Our teamwork and dedication continue to make a positive impact on our community and future students.”
El Paso Community Members Enjoy Event
Throughout the afternoon, the campus buzzed with excitement. Guests toured classrooms, met instructors, and got an inside look at what makes Milan’s hands-on programs so special. Students showcased their skills across every department—cosmetology, esthetics, barbering, and manicuring—adding a festive Halloween twist to their demonstrations.
Education Leader Cortney Bruns said the day reflected the strong sense of teamwork that defines the El Paso campus. “Everything ran so smoothly, and that’s because of all of you,” she told the team afterward. “From instructors to admissions to marketing, everyone brought amazing energy and spirit. Our Halloween Hands-On Twist made it fun and memorable, but it was the team’s dedication that made it meaningful.”
Guests enjoyed watching live demos and connecting with students and staff on the bustling salon floor. Between laughter, conversations, and a few spooky surprises, it was clear that Milan Institute of Cosmetology El Paso continues to shine as a place where creativity and community come together.
