The Milan Institute Amarillo campus welcomed the community to celebrate 40 years of career training success during a lively Open House on Thursday, October 30. The event took place from 3 to 7 p.m. and drew over 100 guests, including local families, prospective students, and friends of current students.
Campus Director Tori Palmer shared her excitement about the event’s success. “I’m so pleased to say it was the most successful Open House I think our campus has ever had,” said Palmer. Overall, we had at least 100 people from our community come through! We played Skeeball, did tinsel and face painting, gave out popcorn, and Milan’s 40th Anniversary swag!”
The campus buzzed with activity as visitors explored classrooms, met instructors, and joined in the fun. The scent of popcorn filled the air while music and laughter carried through the halls. Students and staff offered free hair tinsel and face painting, adding sparkle and color to the celebration. Guests also enjoyed program demonstrations that highlighted Milan’s hands-on approach to education, from beauty and wellness training to healthcare career programs.

Across the student salon floor, cosmetology and esthetics students showcased makeup and hair techniques, while those in medical assisting and dental assisting programs offered tours of their learning labs.
