Candice Pride – Advanced Cosmetology Graduate, Amarillo

Candice Pride returned to school to create a better life for herself and her children, and to prove that it’s never too late to start over. Enrolling in the Advanced Cosmetology program at Milan Institute allowed her to rediscover herself and pursue a career she truly enjoys.

Candice loved going to school and letting her true self come to life. After spending years in the hotel industry, adjusting back to constant interaction with people was challenging at first, but she embraced the change and grew more confident in an industry built on connection. One of her favorite parts of the experience was forming friendships with people she never expected to connect with.

Today, Candice works at BNails in Hereford, where she continues developing her skills and passion. Her future plans include exploring different areas of the beauty industry and continuing to grow professionally.

Her advice to future students is motivating and honest: “Put your hands on everything you can while you’re there—and whenever you think you’ve made it, keep going.”
