Michelle Chavez – Administrative Medical Assistant Graduate, Amarillo

Michelle Chavez decided to return to school to create better opportunities for herself and her family. She wanted to be an example that it’s never too late to finish what you start and invest in your future.

Michelle describes her experience at Milan Institute as amazing. She valued the friendships she built and the support she received from school staff, who she says were incredibly helpful throughout her journey. When she struggled to understand specific topics, she learned that asking the right questions made all the difference.

Today, Michelle works at Impireum Psychiatric Group in Katy, Texas, where she continues growing in the medical field. One of her favorite memories from school was participating in fun events like crazy hair day and Halloween costume parties, which helped create strong bonds with classmates.

Looking ahead, Michelle is open to wherever her career path leads, trusting that the right opportunities will come. Her advice to future students is uplifting and honest: “Keep going, be your own biggest supporter, ask for help, and roll with the punches—everything will work out.”
