Here’s what career training programs are currently enrolling at our Bakersfield campus. How long it takes you to complete a program will depend on your schedule, but all programs are designed to be completed in less than a year and prepare you to take your state licensing tests.*

Thavrie Ortega decided to enroll in the Esthetician program at Milan Institute to become licensed and build her own business. She describes her experience as positive and says she truly enjoyed her time in the program.

While in school, Thavrie was initially nervous and unsure about performing facials. With the guidance and in-depth teaching from her instructor, Mrs. Laura, she gained confidence and developed strong skills that helped her succeed. She’s especially grateful for the support and encouragement she received along the way.

Today, Thavrie is self-employed and focused on growing her esthetics business. One of her favorite memories from Milan was making new friends and building connections with classmates.

Her advice to future students is simple and motivating: “Keep going and finish no matter what—it’ll be over before you know it.”

The Advanced Cosmetology program will provide you with an in-depth look at additional beauty techniques, including Hair Extensions, Makeup Application, Eye Lash Extensions, and more. Learn more.

During the Advanced Esthetician program, you will learn the skills needed to provide skin services, use facial machines, perform hair removal and make-up application. Learn more.
Barbering
As a student in the Barbering program, you will gain the confidence needed to master a variety of barbering techniques, as well as hairdressing, health and safety, and shaving. Learn more.
