The Cosmetology program provides students with the knowledge and skills of the practice of hair, skin, and nail services. In addition, the program provides students technical instruction and practical training in the areas of hairdressing, health and safety, esthetics, manicuring, and pedicuring.
Learn basic manipulative skills, safety judgments, proper work habits, and desirable attitudes necessary to pass the State Board examination and for competency in entry-level positions in Cosmetology or related career fields.
According to the U.S. Department of Labor, Bureau of Labor Statistics, employment of barbers, hairstylists, and cosmetologists is projected to grow 13 percent from 2018 to 2026, faster than the average for all occupations. Population growth will lead to greater demand for hair care services.
