The Milan Institute Palm Desert campus hosted an open house on Wednesday, September 25 from 9 a.m. to noon.
“We had a great open house,” Campus Director Adelle Florez said. “We were thrilled to have representation from five area high schools.”
Schools in attendance included Palm Desert, Coachella, Amistad, Cathedral City and Shadow Hills. Over 30 prospective students took advantage of the open house tours and demonstrations.
Education leader Kristen O’Leary led the students and Faculty from Cathedral City High School on a tour of the Campus. On the tour she stopped and talked about the Adv Esti and Esti Program as an Esthetician herself she was able to go in depth describing the program and answering the students’ questions.
Other demonstrations included braiding, airbrush makeup designs, balloon shaving, waxing demos, chair massages, and flossing with dental assistants.
“It was a fantastic opportunity for our current students as well,” Florez said. “They enjoyed the workshops and engaging with potential students.”
Upcoming events at Milan Institute Palm Desert include October’s graduation ceremony and a salon fundraiser in memory of recent graduate Carlie Membrino.
