We’re excited to announce major updates to several of our beauty and wellness programs! Starting this year, Milan Institute is rolling out refreshed student kits, new professional vendor partnerships, and upgraded class experiences—all designed to better reflect what salons, spas, and clinics use in the real world.

These brands are widely recognized across the industry, helping you build confidence with the same products you’ll use on the job.
Focus on Skincare, Technology, and Extensions
Our programs are also expanding their focus on modern skincare, technology, and specialty services:
- Advanced Skincare: Partnerships with BioTherapeutic and Dermalogica bring cutting-edge skincare devices and products to esthetics and advanced esthetics classrooms.
- Hair Extensions: Babe Hair Extensions are now part of the curriculum so you can master one of today’s most in-demand salon services.
These updates help you develop the skills clients are asking for—and build a portfolio that stands out after graduation.
Asynchronous Education in CA and TX
For select programs in California and Texas, Milan Institute is adding an asynchronous education component to give students more flexibility.
What Is Asynchronous Education?
“Asynchronous” means some lessons, assignments, or assessments can be completed on your own schedule—rather than during a live class. These may include online learning modules, readings, videos, quizzes, or reflective activities. You’ll still have deadlines and learning outcomes, but you can choose when to log in and complete your work.
Why We’re Introducing Asynchronous Learning (CA and TX Only)
Asynchronous education is being introduced in California and Texas to give students more flexibility while keeping hands-on training strong on campus. Many of our students balance school, work, and family, and this model helps you stay on track even when your schedule is demanding.
By moving some theory-based content to an asynchronous format, we can reserve more of your on-campus time for live demonstrations, guided practice, and instructor feedback. This supports a better balance between building knowledge and building hands-on skills.
What Stays the Same
Your program length, requirements, and milestones remain unchanged. You’ll still attend scheduled campus classes and complete all hands-on training and assessments with your instructors and classmates.
The asynchronous elements simply give you extra flexibility—an added layer of support to help you succeed while keeping your education practical, personal, and hands-on.
