Milan Institute Visalia Celebrates 40 Years of Excellence as Beauty School, Career Training
The Milan Institute Visalia campus, one of the largest campuses in the Milan Institute system, recently joined in celebrating the organization’s 40th anniversary with a ribbon-cutting ceremony hosted by the Visalia Chamber of Commerce. The Milan Institute system includes 14 campuses across California, Nevada, and Texas, each dedicated to helping students transform their lives through hands-on education and career training.
The celebration brought together local leaders, students, alumni, and staff to recognize Milan Institute’s continued commitment. A Milestone in Visalia and Tulare County
“Today marked a truly special milestone in Milan Institute’s history as we celebrated our 40th Anniversary with a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony at our Visalia Campus,” said Mark Balanon, Director of Operations and incoming Interim Campus Director. “This event was more than just a celebration of years. It was a moment to honor four decades of dedication, perseverance, and passion in transforming lives through education and career training.”
The ceremony highlighted Milan Institute’s long-standing partnership with the local community and featured special recognitions from local and state leaders. “We were honored to have the Visalia Chamber of Commerce host this wonderful occasion, helping us commemorate this important chapter in Milan’s journey,” Balanon said. “Adding to the excitement, we were joined by County of Tulare Supervisor, District Three, Amy Shuklian, who presented a Certificate of Recognition acknowledging our ongoing commitment to delivering high-quality career training in Esthetics, Cosmetology, Barbering, Manicuring, and Allied Health programs.”
In addition to local recognition, the campus received a Certificate of Recognition from a representative of Senator Shannon Grove’s Office, honoring Milan Institute’s 40 years of service and dedication to student success and community growth.
