Each and every Milan student receives job readiness training, networking and placement support through the Career Services Department, a team committed to helping you achieve your career goals from your first day on campus.
Milan’s Career Services Department empowers students to reach their career goals by providing support and encouragement to all active students and graduates, including professional development, resume creation, job development, job-search strategies and assistance in the job-market, interviewing techniques, and referrals to community support services. We also partner with local employers in the community to assist you with employment opportunities and interviewing when you graduate.
Career Services at the Milan Institute include:
- Interview best practices & professional development – training and coaching in interview techniques.
- Create Professional Resume- We utilize the E-Hired platform that provides tutorials, daily job leads, and training on creating and developing a quality resume.
- Networking Events-Job Fairs, Classroom Events & Guest Speakers
- Externship or Apprenticeship- Opportunity to continue the hands-on experience in their field of study.

In order to further support our alumni, we also offer our grads the opportunity to qualify for an Alumni scholarship. With Milan’s Alumni scholarship, you can receive up to $2000 to help finance your next license. This can be a great opportunity to advance your career! Many of our alumni use this scholarship opportunity to pursue higher, more specialized skills, by enrolling in our Advanced Cosmetology or Advanced Esthetician programs. Others enroll in one of Milan’s shorter programs in order to add additional services which will empower them to expand their business.
