Milan Institute Visalia hosted a successful open house on Wednesday, October 23 from 3-7 p.m. Approximately two dozen members of the public were able to tour the campus, attend demonstrations, and enjoy refreshments with current students and staff.
“This success wouldn’t have been possible without the collaborative efforts of everyone involved,” Campus Director Mark Balanon said. “Our campus team did an outstanding job organizing interactive demos across multiple programs.”
Demonstrations and activities included:
- Braiding and adding color stencils to hair
- Dia De Los Muertos makeup
- Barber balloon shaving
- Esthetics lip mask making
- Basic manicure and nail art
- Chair massage and essential oils
- Dental demonstrations on identifying teeth, brushing, and flossing
Balanon cited that the open house was not only a great opportunity for the community, but a unique experience for current students who participated and hosted several of the activities.
Balanon mentioned how grateful he was for his staff.
“Their dedication and hard work made all the difference,” Balanon said.
