The Milan Institute of Cosmetology-El Paso proudly celebrated its graduates at a memorable ceremony on Saturday, October 12, 2024, at the McKelligon Canyon Amphitheatre. With over 1,200 attendees, the event marked a significant milestone for the 382 graduates on exciting new career paths.
Recognizing Excellence
Graduating from Milan Institute is no small feat.
“Students must complete all required training hours for their program and maintain a minimum GPA of 80%,” explained Campus Director Sandra Carrillo.
Graduates from the October ceremony represented several programs, including:
- Barbering
- Cosmetology
- Esthetician
- Eyelash Extension
- Manicurist
Special Guests and Highlights
The evening began with a formal presentation of colors by the Color Guard of Bel Air High School in El Paso. This was followed by an inspiring keynote speech from Sylvia Valdez, a well-known manicurist, educator, and Instagram influencer. Valdez shared her story of growth and success, encouraging graduates to pursue their dreams with determination.
