Massage Envy is a wellness franchise providing massage, stretch, and skin care services. Massage Envy was built upon the belief that regular massage, stretch, and facials are integral components of whole-body wellness, and the company’s mission is, “To keep your body working by making massage, stretch, and skin care an accessible part of your daily wellness routine.”
Massage Envy has over 1,150 locations nationwide, and offers services including massage, stretch, and facials. All services are customizable; customers choose from a curated product selection to personalize their session. Massage Envy offers a membership option, so frequent customers can enjoy personalized sessions at lower rates. The company employs both massage therapists and estheticians, and all Massage Envy employees are highly trained to meet industry-leading standards.
Massage Envy of the Desert is run by franchisee Holly Lassak, who left behind a 30-year career in corporate America to pursue a passion for making her community a better place. Holly wanted to help people, and when she found Massage Envy, “it was a perfect fit.” Now with Massage Envy for 17 years, Holly says, “We’ve helped a lot of people to feel better, and to feel their very best.”
Early on in her business, Holly cultivated a valuable relationship with Milan Institute, which offers both Massage Therapy and Esthetician training programs. This relationship, Holly says, “has proven to be a really great partnership.” Holly has found that Milan Institute consistently turns out great students, who become great employees. Milan Institute’s Esthetician program is designed to prepare students for long-term careers in the skin care industry by training them to provide basic skin services, work with facial machines, perform hair removal and make-up applications. Students learn health and safety considerations, and how to produce excellent client experiences. The curriculum also includes an emphasis on business practices, marketing, and sales.
Milan Institute also offers a Massage Therapy program, designed to prepare students to become professional massage therapists. Students learn to provide relief and improved health and well-being to clients through the application of manual techniques for manipulating skin, muscles, and connective tissues. The program includes a unique curriculum containing Eastern, Western, and ancient modalities as well as the latest skills and techniques.
At Milan Institute, students receive practical and technical instruction in order to be prepared for their future careers. Students in both the Esthetician and the Massage Therapy programs have the opportunity to develop their skills through working in a real-world environment in Milan Institute’s student salons and spas.
The Esthetician program can be completed in as few as 24 weeks* and graduates will be prepared to take the State Board examination for licensure, and qualify for entry-level positions as estheticians or in related career fields. The Massage Therapy program can be completed in as few as 34 weeks* and graduates will have the skills and knowledge to work as a professional massage therapist.
