Genesis Ayala graduated from the Advanced Esthetician program at Milan Institute in Bakersfield. She pursued this career for herself and her kids, determined to build a better future.
“My experience was awesome! By God’s grace and with support from my family, I made it through,” Genesis shared.
She loved learning as much as she could during the program and now works at European Wax Center. Her dream is to run a successful business and help other women feel confident and beautiful in their natural skin.
Her advice? “Keep your head up—you got this! Push through, it’s so worth it!”
Kassandra Gutierrez graduated from the Manicurist program at Milan Institute in Bakersfield on February 10, 2024, to create a better future for her family.
“It was a wonderful experience—the instructors helped with every question,” Kassandra shared. “I had never done nails before, and it was hard at first, but by the end, I felt confident in what I was taught.”
Now working at Nails by Julia in Bakersfield, she enjoys learning through live demos and looks forward to one day opening her own shop to help other manicurists grow.
Her advice? “Keep learning—there’s always something new.
Don’t be afraid!”
Evelyn Bisacca graduated from the Medical Assisting program at Milan Institute in Visalia in 2025. She returned to school to better herself and set an example for her daughter and family.
“My experience at Milan was amazing—the staff was so helpful, and the environment was welcoming,” she shared.
Balancing school as a full-time single mom was tough, but Evelyn stayed committed and pushed through. She now works at Bright Pediatrics and Echocardiography in Visalia.
Her favorite memory was connecting with classmates and learning from her incredible professor. Evelyn’s goal is to become a registered nurse, and her advice is simple: “Don’t give up, and don’t procrastinate!”
A graduate of the Medical Assisting program at Milan Institute in Amarillo, Dominica chose to return to school to build a better life for her kids and herself.
“My experience was great—I loved the teachers and the support everyone gave,” she shared. Despite moments of self-doubt, she reminded herself that doing her best was enough.
Now working at Amarillo Family Physician, she cherishes the laughter and memories made with classmates. Her goal is to grow as a Certified Medical Assistant and eventually pursue a career in nursing.
Her advice? “Never give up, it may be tough right now, but it will be worth it in the end. Always fight for what you want in life.”
Jazmin Juarez didn’t want to repeat the struggles she saw growing up—so right after high school, she chose to take control of her future.
Through the Medical Assisting program at Milan Institute in Amarillo, which she completed on July 10, 2025, Jazmin made new friends and gained knowledge she never expected, especially in medication training. The biggest challenge? Staying on top of assignments during busy weeks—but she pushed through.
Now working at GI Alliance in Amarillo, Jazmin plans to continue her nursing journey.
Her advice: “Don’t be afraid to ask questions, and be ready to step outside your comfort zone—especially in the clinic.”
Kassidy Gonzalez graduated from the Dental Assistant program at Milan Institute in Amarillo. She chose this path because she wanted a hands-on career that helps people feel confident and cared for.
“I felt well-prepared and excited to start my career, thanks to the school’s focus on students and the support of my instructor,” Kassidy shared. Balancing life and school wasn’t easy, but she learned to prioritize and stay focused.
Now working at Familia Dental in Lubbock, one of her favorite memories was celebrating milestones with classmates during end-of-mod parties.
Her advice: “Ask questions, practice everything, and build connections. You’ve got this!”
Frances Farmer graduated from the Administrative Medical Assistant program at Milan Institute in Amarillo on May 7, 2025. She returned to school to better herself and pursue meaningful work.
“My experience was amazing, and I had an incredible instructor—April Miner,” Frances shared. When faced with challenges, she didn’t give up and always asked for help when needed.
Now working at the Amarillo Colonoscopy Center, Frances hopes to one day retire from her dream job in Oncology.
Her advice: “Don’t give up. Stay positive and always ask for help.”
For Destini Martinez, going back to school was about setting an example for her son. “I want him to be able to say, ‘My mom is a CNA, a Dental Assistant, and a future Surgical Technician.’She graduated from the Dental Assistant program at Milan Institute in Amarillo on May 13, 2025. “Everyone was so helpful throughout my time in school,” she shared. Balancing school with raising a two-year-old was tough, but with her family’s support, she made it through.Now working at Ideal Dental in Amarillo, Destini plans to continue her education and become a surgical technician.Her advice: “Keep pushing—it’s worth it. Be confident, show your skills, and the opportunities will follow.”
Karen Monk graduated from the Advanced Cosmetology program at Milan Institute – San Antonio South on November 27, 2024. She chose this career for the freedom and flexibility it offers.“It was a difficult experience, but worth it,” Karen shared. Life brought its challenges, but she stayed on track by putting in extra work and making up hours when needed.Now working at Great Clips, she aims to continue growing within the company.Her advice: “Stick to the plan and do this for yourself.”
Emma Rodriguez graduated from the Dental Assistant program at Milan Institute in Amarillo on May 13, 2025. She chose this path to gain the qualifications needed for a good job.“My experience was fine—some things were repetitive, but it helped reinforce the learning,” she shared. Communication was her biggest challenge, but she pushed through.Now working at Harwell & Cook Orthodontics in Amarillo, Emma plans to stay for a few years before pursuing new opportunities.Her advice: “Study hard, get your work done, show up, and keep a good attitude!”
